One day

One Day 2018.png

This holiday season, we’d like to set a precedent of generosity. In an age of materialism and individualism, we are asking our Stone Creek family to sacrificially give of our own resources so that people in need may begin to see increases in theirs.

On November 18, 2018, we will be highlighting our year-end offering that we are calling One Day. One Day is simple. It is giving one day’s wages to make a powerful and lasting impact in people’s lives both locally and globally.  Our plan is to split the offerings received into three different areas: supporting our local Big Give event, which provides meals to over 1,000 families; continuing support of Stone Creek ministries; and developing partnerships with organizations that are caring for the under-resourced in areas around the world, including Europe, Africa, Asia, South America, and right here at home. Our goal is to raise $70,000.

Last year, we helped build an addition to an orphanage in the Philippines, we added a new roof and made updates to the teacher's areas at the Kiteta School in Kenya, and we fed 1,200 local families during our Big Give last year (and over 25,000 people yearlong). How do we do this? We accomplish this through the generous spirit of those who decide to pray and respond to what God is asking them to do. “You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth” (Acts 1:8, NIV). Every week we have over 40 nations of the world represented at Stone Creek. As a church, we stand with each other week in and week out, and pray for each other’s families around the world. So when we take up this offering, we already know the significance of what we are doing together.

Would you consider giving one day’s wages to help someone else in need?  Please designate ONE DAY.

Your one day transforms their every day.

You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.
— Acts 1:8
